Bottom line, the end product blew us away. The majority of the job was done while we were on our summer vacation and we trusted your judgment on any changes you thought were necessary in our absence. For once in my life, I was speechless as we drove down the driveway upon our return. Our mudpit of a yard was transformed into a park-like setting in a matter of weeks. Having a tennis court in the front of the house was a challenge from a landscaping standpoint in regard to the screening of the court. After you were finished with the front, the court just blended right into the rest of the beautiful surroundings.

We were extremely impressed with how courteous and efficient your staff was in completing this job. It was truly a pleasure to work with them and with you. You took a very stressful time in our lives and calmed us down with a very relaxed and sometimes humorous approach to the project.

It is with pleasure that we write a letter of recommendation for Barchella Landscaping.

Frank Barchella was first referred to us by Shoreline Pools, who said we had to have the best landscaper to show off our newly installed pool. We discovered that Frank had landscaped many of the more beautiful homes in our area. We were also impressed with his use of mature trees and plantings, giving a fully established look to his creations.

Frank was introduced to us after pool construction had begun, and within a few days he presented us with a full set of plans and pictures of trees. We liked what we saw so much that we asked him to draft plans for landscaping our front yard, including installation of a new driveway and parking area. While it wasn't within our original budget and time frame, Frank convinced us to go ahead with both projects.

The actual landscaping and construction work was a marvel. Never have we seen so industrious (and so many) workers. We must admit that it was shocking to see how quickly our yard could be stripped of existing lawn, plantings and diseased trees. At this point we had some trepidation, because we were due to leave for a long-scheduled summer vacation, but Frank assured us that our home was in good hands. We returned two weeks later to find that an oasis had blossomed on what once looked like bare land. The entire project, including grading, planting, sod, sprinkler installation, driveway and stone wall construction took only slightly more than a month.

What can I say? Our property has been transformed from a two acre building lot to a park, thanks to you and your well. While 1 have always admired your work in the past, I wasn't sure that anyone could tackle this project however, the end result exceeded all my expectations. When Bob and I hired you and your company to remove 40 years of old landscaping and install new landscaping on our two acre parcel of property in the Sterling Ridge section of Harrison, NY little did we know what a remarkable transformation we were about to experience.

In two very short weeks, your team performed miracles. They removed all of the existing landscaping (and stumps) with the exception of a few very healthy old trees. They dug multiple dry wells (well away from the house) and connected our entire gutter and leader system to it with piping. They removed our existing driveway, framed out and laid the new one and installed cobblestone curbing. They expanded our cobblestone courtyard and extended our front walk. They built three huge berms along the road on both sides of the driveway and along the property line. They installed 600 trees, shrubs and other plants. They installed sod at the front and rear of the driveway berms and along our front walk and along our front walk and seeded the rest of the patchy areas in the lawn. They cleaned the jobsite daily and actually broom swept or raked the entire site upon completing their work! We never had to pick up a water or soda bottle or a piece of sandwich paper. Working along side your team, the irrigation contractor expanded our existing irrigation system by three times its original size and completed the work at the same time as your men completed theirs.

All in two weeks!
And one week ahead of schedule!

Frank, your vision and pride in your work are the hallmarks of the spectacular landscape design your created for us. Your commitment and dedication to your clients are the defining characteristics of the quality of service you rendered to us. The capability and full-time commitment of your men to the project every day for the two weeks they were here, in rain and shine, exemplifies the timelines of your project. I met Frank Barchella when I started thinking about landscaping our home in Purchase. He was referred to us by the company who had built our pool, Shoreline. Our landscape architect, Mr. John Slaker, whom we had been working with for a year helping us design our property, also suggested we meet Frank

Although two of our neighbors had used someone else we wanted to try someone new. I met with Frank and spent quite a bit of time with him reviewing his proposal and becoming familiar with him and his work. It is difficult to describe all the effort we put into building our home. We worked with our builder, Stu Cohen, very closely during that time. I can say unequivocally that I have never worked with anyone as professional as Frank. My wife and I agree that if Frank were a builder we would have moved into out home within a year. He has an outstanding crew of people working for him. They are both trustworthy and responsible. He completed his job so quickly and professionally that our neighbors hired him as well. If something didn't look right he didn't wait form me to say it, he had it removed and replaced immediately. Often the speed at which someone works can negatively impact the quality of work. This is absolutely not the case with Frank. He literally moves mountains to get the job done.

Frank worked in all aspects of landscaping. We had asked him to build a bike path around our property with he did with his crew and we have been using it happily for the past few months.

The best part about Frank is that a word is a word. When something is promised it is delivered and done on time (usually ahead of time).

I recommend him highly and with no reservations whatsoever. I have recommended him to friends and have always been thanked by them for it.
